Welcome to Willi Borst
New Te Hoiere Project Co-ordinator Wilhelmina (Willi) Borst says she has “big shoes” to fill following the departure of Heli Wade but she herself is very familiar with both Te Hoiere catchment and biodiversity work.
Willi has worked for Department of Conservation in the Nelson Conservancy Office and in Renwick as Biodiversity Threats Ranger. Her face is also familiar around the Marlborough District Council where she worked as Solid Waste Manager.
“I have also lived in the Wakamarina [Whakamarino] Valley for more than 20 years and our kids went to Canvastown School. I’m most looking forward to continuing the great work Heli did connecting the wide range of people involved with this amazing project so that it keeps thriving well into the future,” Willi says.
